Our first day in Peru's capital begins early with a delicious group breakfast.
Today, we'll set out to discover the city with our local guide.
We'll stroll leisurely through the cobblestone streets of the historic center, admiring centuries-old facades, vibrant plazas, and the mestizo energy that defines the city.
We'll visit the Central Market, where the colors of exotic fruits and the aromas of ancient herbs awaken our senses. Here, we'll learn about the ingredients that give life to Peruvian cuisine, considered one of the richest in the world.
Our lunch is much more than a meal: it's an experience of connection. We'll visit a traditional Lima home, where a local family will welcome us and share lovingly prepared dishes with inherited recipes.
The afternoon is free to relax, stroll along the seafront overlooking the sea, or simply enjoy a coffee watching Lima life go by.

Today we leave the sea to fly to the heights of the Andean heartland.
In the morning, we take a flight to Cusco, the ancient capital of Tahuantinsuyu, at more than 3,300 meters above sea level. The air is different here: purer, thinner, more steeped in history.
Our hotel, a restored old mansion, welcomes us with hot coca tea and cozy spaces. We take the day slowly, respecting the acclimatization process of body and soul.
In the afternoon, we set out for a gentle walk through the historic center. We walk through the Plaza de Armas, the San Blas neighborhood with its artisan workshops, and stop at some colonial temples that were built on ancient Inca palaces. Cusco is a city you don't visit: you feel it. You walk slowly, with open eyes and a willing heart.
At night, we have dinner together in a small Andean restaurant that fuses tradition and innovation.

We set off early for the Sacred Valley of the Incas, a place where culture flourishes in every corner. Our first stop is Chinchero, a high Andean village where women weavers welcome us to their cooperative. With patience and pride, they show us how the art of weaving remains a form of resilience and wisdom.
We have lunch as a group, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes.
Then we continue to the impressive Maras salt mines, where hundreds of salt wells form a landscape that seems like something out of this world. Later, we visit Moray, an ancient Inca agricultural laboratory that speaks to the profound knowledge of the land that these civilizations possessed.
Our hotel that night is in the middle of the valley, surrounded by silence, stars, and a clear sky.

Today is a day of profound human encounter. We visit the community of Misminay, on the slopes of the Andes. There, we are welcomed with music, smiles, and flowers.
The community shares their daily life with us: they teach us how to plow with oxen, plant potatoes, and grind corn, as they have done for generations.
We also participate in a ceremony of gratitude to Pachamama, led by an Andean master. With coca leaves, fire, and song, we honor the Earth and ask permission to continue traveling with respect.
Lunch is a communal meal, cooked on a hearth and served in clay bowls. There is no rush, no cell phone service. Just the present moment.
We return to the hotel in the afternoon, with our hearts full and our minds silent.

Today is one of those days that will be etched in your memory forever. We wake up early to take the train to Aguas Calientes, a journey that winds through mountains, rivers, and mist.
We ascend by bus to Machu Picchu, the enigmatic Inca sanctuary discovered in 1911. We walk calmly through its terraces, temples, and viewpoints, while a specialized guide tells us its history and symbolism. But beyond the facts, he invites us to experience the place: its energy, its silence, its wisdom.
After lunch, we descend again and return by train to the Sacred Valley. The body arrives tired, but the soul is awake.
Meals: breakfast, lunch

After busy days, this is a place to unwind. Those who wish can stay at the hotel reading, writing, or simply contemplating. For those who want something more active, we offer options: a light hike in the surrounding area, an Andean cooking class with a local chef, or even a traditional massage with native herbs.
In the evening, we gather again for dinner and bid farewell to this beautiful place with much gratitude.

We bid farewell to the Sacred Valley and returned by land to Cusco. Along the way, we stopped in Pisac, famous for its traditional market and its Inca fortress perched on the mountain. It was a perfect opportunity to purchase local handcrafted goods.
We had lunch en route and flew back to Lima in the afternoon. We spent the night near the airport, ready for the next day's international flights.
We treated ourselves to one last group dinner and were grateful for the opportunity to bring us together in this magical place.
Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner

At the scheduled time, a private shuttle will take you to Jorge Chavez International Airport (LIM) for your return flight home.

KEY NOTES
-
This is the main idea! Bringing together travelers with similar interests, who don't know each other, to share a fabulous travel experience and become part of a travel sisterhood.
We have an interview system that ensures the trip is made up of well-matched people.
As for room assignments (if you want to share a room and pay double occupancy), our algorithm finds the best rommie matches!
-
All Origenes trips are based on the same premise: to show each destination authentically and honestly.
But it's also our vacation, and we want to pamper ourselves, so we've found the perfect balance.
We opted for small boutique hotels, slow-paced itineraries, and personal time. The activities promise to immerse us in the destination and show us different realities in a respectful way.
So you'll enjoy elegant dinners, but we'll also explore local markets to find good tamales.
Our definition of luxury is authenticity.
-
Women between the ages of 35 and 55 (just an estimate) who are looking for trips off the beaten path and overcrowded with tourists.
They enjoy immersive experiences and are looking to expand their circle, meet new people, and create new and meaningful connections.
